FashionJunkie’s Re-Haul Video Series: Part One
On a shoestring shopping budget? Refresh your fall wardrobe with standout designer clothing cast-offs from FashionJunkie’s very own closets.
While I can certainly appreciate a good bargain, my shopping strategy has always been, “Want it, Buy It… Now!” Not exactly the best thing for my dwindling savings account (or my marriage), but I’ve always been fearful of missing out on the season’s best designer pieces, including this standout Valentino Rockstud stiletto and 3.1 Phillip Lim mixed-media colorblock Pashli.
As you can probably imagine, this irresponsible behavior has resulted in far too many arguments – “Yes, Mom – I do need retail therapy!” – and impulse purchases over the years. That, coupled with the fact that I refuse to part with pretty much everything. After all, fashion happens to be cyclical and trends inevitably come back in one way, shape or form. Take, for instance, this fall’s grunge resurgence. Notice the abundance of $1,000+ designer Doc Marten doppelgangers and over-sized tartan skirts. But I digress…While I’ll definitely be on the prowl for some killer investment pieces come fall (note to self: Iro’s distressed Han moto jacket in navy), I simply no longer have space in my thimble-sized Brooklyn closets for anything new. As a result, I’ve reluctantly decided to part with many of my favorite designer pieces, some of which still have tags attached (telltale signs of a true Fashion Junkie!) or no longer fit my expanding waistline. One of the many downsides of turning 40, giving birth to twins and gorging on too many Georgetown chocolate squared cupcakes.
Without further adieu, I’d like to welcome you to the first installment in my new Re-Haul video series. Be sure to check-in daily for gently worn and unused designer castoffs, most of which will be on sale for 50% off the retail price. And please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions about a particular item.
The very first item up for grabs: this stunning 3.1 Phillip Lim bordeaux Pashli. A steal at only $499, considering the original retail cost was $895. For additional details, view my re-haul video. Happy shopping!
