I discovered this Brooklyn-based shopper’s paradise whilst apartment hunting. To be honest, I was “DUMBO-founded” to find such a stunning store beyond the island of Manhattan. The open and airy space reminds me of mini version of a mini version of Barney’s Coop, sans the attitude and bustling crowds. And since I’ll soon be living next door (yup… new abode happens to be conveniently adjoined to Zoë), I’ll have first dibs on all the new arrivals labels by 3.1. Phillip Lim, Matthew Williamson, Miu Miu and Chloé, to name a few. And, when I’m too lazy to trek downstairs, I’ll definitely be clicking my way through their equally impressive e-store (pathetic, I know). 

A mix of downtown cool with uptown sophistication, Canteloup is a super chic boutique stocked with cutting-edge designer labels from around the world. Fashion editors, celebs and the A-List crowd flock here for hipster Australian labels like Sass & Bide and Willow, Diego Binetti, La Cosa and re-worked vintage T’s from Burn ‘n Violet. As if that’s not reason enough to sprint on over, they also carry a dynamite denim selection, sexy lingerie, funky tees, cool carryalls and to-die-for jewelry by the cash. Need we say more?

Trend-setters flock here for the well-edited mix of vintage-inspired clothing and accessories that can’t be beat. An ultra feminine spot that’s oozing with coolness, wait ‘til you get a hold of the flirty Ella Moss striped dresses, high-waisted Deener stovepipes and over-sized Kale handbags – all sizzling summer essentials you’ll want in your wardrobe. For the ultimate downtown get-up, go for a pair of chic Charlotte Ronson hot pants (toothpick legs only, please) luxe leather wedges and a WOW ‘em Madison Marcus tank. Top it off with a delicate Jenny Sheriff leaf necklace and you’re ready to tear up the town.
